What is new in this version of Tweaks2K2 .NET (http://www.pc-counselor.com/downloads.htm)?
Well this new release will allows you to move some dlls located in RAM to any memory device freeing RAM memory. This is a new trick never seen before in any other application. Some of my betatesters have gain up to 1.2 MB of RAM after the application of this new trick.

Can you share how it's done? Is this a .NET trick only (i.e. PPC2003 onwards)?

Nope, it's not a .net trick only (it works in 2000, 2002, 2003, SE and even in HPC2000 :D) and yes I'll share how is done at my site http://www.pc-counselor.com/how_to/ as soon as I release this new version.

I don't keep secrets about what is behind any trick in Tweaks2K2. ;)

The amount of space you can free of your RAM depends of how many programs you have installed and how many of them have been saving dlls in your Windows Folder. To give you an idea, just Resco File Explorer save there more than 300 kb just to mention one of the programs that often if found in all PPCs.

Tweaks2K2 will have a list of files that can be moved and will do that for you. But, you can go after that and move any other file that was not included in Tweask2K2's list and then you will have to try if the program using that dll still work. Of course that all the dlls included in my list have been tested and I know for fact that after they have been moved the programs using them will work.

Prism NIC card dlls used in some CF WiFi card can be moved out of the RAM (around 600 kBs!)

MS Street Finder 2002 dlls can be moved out side.

Agenda Function dlls can be moved out side....

TomTom navigator dlls...

Just to mention some of the dlls that have been tested. :D

For those users that use Pocket Informat... they will be able to move out of the RAM around 2.89 Mbs in dlls!!!

I've already moved a lot of my DLL's using my SetPath applet. Works fine. glad to see you're automating the procedure.

I don't know about your setpath applet, it's in somewhere?

It's included along with several other useful tools at http://www.geocities.co.jp/SiliconValley-Cupertino/2039/ . In particular, try out FontsOnStorage, FileDialogChanger, and SystemPath.

why don't you prepare some documentation in English? I don't like to test programs when I don't know what they do ;)

I downloaded the latest version and found it to be pretty slick. I was just about to purchase but I could not find any info about upgrade costs (if any). What is your upgrade policy in regards to existing customers?

Oh, it does what it is suposed to do. It will add any folder you want to the system path. No need to say more ...
