well i took my 2215 back to best buy thursday. it took them almost an hour to work thru all the papers i had attached to the PSP thing. but it ended up getting a 4155. i am gonna miss both cf and sd but i guess i will live. i can give up cf for built in wireless. i will use wireless more than i will cf as long as i have a sd card.

So what happened? Was your 2215 defective?

I don't think you'll regret getting a 4155. I've had both the 2215 and the 4155 and the more slim size of the 4155 is great.

well good for you as you use wifi much more than extra storage option.
but since i cant live withouth music, and have both slots full of mp3's i couldnt use a single extension device

yes my 2215 wouldnt read sd cards. i have the atari retro mmc card and a 64mb sd card. it wouldnt read either. i tried both soft resets and hard resets. it just wouldnt recognize them. best buy took it right back and is sending me the 4155. BTW, has anyone used the thumb keyboard? i am looking into purchasing it and i want some opinions on it.

Ironically, the 2210/15 iPAQ would be the last iPAQ of all the existing models that would reach its EOL. The estimated EOL of 2210/15 should be around December 2004.

mine's getting funky with SD too. going to send it in for repair as i have 2 1/2 months left of warranty. :?

yeah that is the part i never told best buy- i sent it to HP a few months ago cause it was doing the same thing, not reading the cards. they ended up replacing the mother board. i was kind of afraid that best buy wouldnt take it back if i told them that HP opened it up, but then again since it is the original manufacterer, they might not have cared. besides i tihnk the warrenty was up. anyways i wanted a new PPC. :D
