With all the news of the release of new iPAQ handhelds this week, it was easy to miss the news of one handheld that has met its demise. :(

The reasoning given for the Power Handhelds short career...

"There is clearly a market opportunity for converged devices, however, we sold a relatively small number of units and the ongoing investment didn't make sense at the expense of our core business," explained Bsquar CEO Brian Crowley. Crowley also noted that the Power Handheld had been a point of contention because it competed with some of Bsquare's OEM customers.

Well that is a shame.

Wouldn't it have been nice to see a device with this form factor running WM2003 SE and a VGA screen......
