"Applications that could arise from the partnership are many, but some of those currently being put forward by Microsoft include the ability to integrate a users' personal devices such as a Pocket PC or a Windows Mobile based device with the vehicle. Also being put forward are the ideas of onboard digital music storage solutions, built in bluetooth connectivity, and voice activation for all devices. We look forward to the day we have to reboot our car because it's had a blue screen of death, rather than the more usual car related problems like a flat tyre."<br /><br />Read the <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/features/2004/jul04/07-15MSABUFiat.asp">Q&amp;A on the press release here</a>!

Actually, Fiat has done very well quality wise the last five years or so. Not so sure about British cars, though...

No kidding needed our motor industry currently only exists because people with money think they can rekindle 'the good old days'

Look at Rover MG they are still selling same cars that use same body and engines that they did 6+ years ago! They even had to buy in cars from India(!) to be able to introduce a new small car

Leave car making to the Germans the makers of proper cars :)

Off topic, moi?! 8)

Fiat has been picking up quality pointers from GM.

Interpret that as you will.

You can already build computers that you can put inside your car ("carputers"). Just add a bluetooth dongle and you're set :)
