I can't seem to get Encoder to recognize my computer's ip. Why is this? I am behind a router, and all firewalls are disabled.

ok I got it to come up with an ip to connect with but it just won't connect. Also, when "broadcasting", I hit the connections tab and both Intenet and Lan addresses are »FASTDELL:8080 (my pc name) as opposed to an ip for internet connection. My next step was to try port forwarding, which I don't understand, but I followed this guide exactly as it's shown.

still didn't work. Next I unplugged the router and put my cable connection directly into my pc. Same thing happened. I get an ip to connect with on the first part but when its broadcasting it gives my pc name:8080 for both internet and Lan.

There is no router involved in this equation now. What's the deal?

p.s. the "internet" connection ip on the setup page does not work. Locally streaming also does not work.
