Attachments in email

Recently purchased Dell Axim. When I synch emails seem to synch ok but attachments don't open when tapped. What am I missing / will it do this / am I being dim?

PocketPC machines have Pocket Word and Pocket Excel. They reformat these files when they are installed to the pda. After you modify them, your PC needs to reformat back to .doc and .xls formats. You should be able to open .pdf files as an attachment if your install Adobe reader for PocketPC.

Otherwise, you will to use a 3rd party program like Clearvue suite or Textmaker/Planmaker.

Are they actually sync'ing with your pocketpc? You need to enable the ability in activesync for it to actually happen. In pocket outlook you will see icon's for attachments even if they didn't get copied to your ppc (but they should be greyed out.)

In activesync, go to options, Inbox, Settings, check include attachment and limit the size if necessary (recommended.)
