CONVERT HITACHI 4GB MD TO CFII

I heard that there is a software available for formatting the Hatachi 4GB microdrive (ones that are created in IDE format and not compatible with CF II). If thats the case microdrive price will drop sharply. Good for us handheld users. Anyone out there knows where to download this software?

I bought the Hitachi 4GB MD off of ebay about a month ago and haven't had any problems at all in an Ipaq 2210. The seller had preformatted it, but my understanding is that all it takes is sticking it in a laptop with a PCMCIA adapter and formatting it with Windows. I have heard rumors that the Ipaq will format it as well, but I haven't heard that first hand.

huggypal is referring to specially-bundled versions of the Hitachi MD, like the ones in Apple's iPod Mini, which don't just plug-and-play.

Anyway, huggypal, I have no clue -- I haven't heard any news on this regard.
