Polotics/religion

What are your veiws on this new movement to incorperate spirituality with polotics? I am dumbfounded that this movement has picked up enough momentum to be heard of, but I am curious as to what other peoples veiws on this age old mixture are.

My view is what this forum's description says:

"A forum for stuff that doesn't relate to the Pocket PC. No politics or religion discussions please - let's keep things friendly."

As your post suggests both topics, I'm afraid I'm going to have to lock it. Every attempt to discuss this here has become nasty. Sorry...
