Is it true someone is going to make a movie of it?

Two movies have already been made: one a good 20-30 years ago, and another one just last year. It's called "Bl,.m", or "Bloom" for those who want to say it out loud. From what I've read, the new movie is awful, and from the trailer I've checked, it's unfaithful to the book at times.

Hope that answers your question.

This year actually marks the 100th "Bloomsday" (well it would except the concept of celebrating Bloomsday itself was invented for the 50th anniversery in 1954, by a group of Irish writers in Dublin who spent the day re-tracing the route followed by Bloom.

This year for the 100th there is going to be a month or so of events.

I soooo wanted to be in Dublin for this day. Professors from around the world have a week-long conference where they talk about nothing but Joyce. It'd be like a mental-orgasm.

Buuuut I couldn't afford it, so I'm stuck here at home reading the book instead.
