Heya!
Is there any way I can control my desktop (Windows XP) playing a DVD (either in WMP or PowerDVD) via bluetooth from my PocketPC?

Thanks.

(I wasn't sure whether to put this in Wireless, Multimedia or Software, so I put it here. Sorry if it was the wrong spot.)

I've been playing with something called "Total Input" from xronox.com. The "elite" version of the program has templates for control of some popular programs like Power DVD, WinAmp, and Outlook.

It's only $14.99, but after trying it out, I'm not convinced. I pushed buttons on the screen, things didn't happen. If you're more patient than I am, perhaps this could be the solution for you.

P.S. It's not evident from the -- well, from the lack of instructions how to connect. Use an ActiveSync Bluetooth connection, and the client and server applications will see each other.

there are some remote controll programs out there, and there is even a Windows Meida Player remote control program that might solve your wishes.
Bluetooth doesnt have a really good range, so it's probably easier to stand up and walk to the machine instead.
There are numerous TV Infrared remote control programs out there as well, that might work better with a normal dvd, or in combination with a IR unit on your pc allow direct control of your dvd player/software.

I take it back: I've been using Total Input Elite, and it's working great (I'm actually typing this in over Bluetooth). It's only twelve bucks, and it does what it says on the tin. Give it a try.
