I am getting a pop-up in Outlook that says another program is trying to access e-mail addresses from my address book?! This started after installing XP SP-3 (I think). I have to allow it, because it stops my iPAQ in the middle of synching if I don't... What is this? How do I either allow always or change it?

Does this only happen when you run ActiveSync? If so, try reinstalling/upgrading to the latest version. Other programs should generate this prompt, but not AS.

I am running the latest version of ActiveSync, but have not hard-reset and reloaded in almost a year. It only seems to happen when I am synching, and has NEVER happened to me before...

Yes, but you upgraded Office. ;) Maybe reinstalling ActiveSync will set a registry key or something. Admittedly, I don't run Office XP anymore, so I haven't played with AS using SP3.

Strangley enough, it has not happened in a while since I rebooted and ran some diagnostics... Thanks for the input, as I really need to do a clean-install on my iPAQ anyway.

This also happens to me. It is some new addition to MS Office 2003. Anyone have any idea how to stop it from popping up?

Weird, I DON'T have Office 2003... Has not happened for a day or so now?!

I use Office 2k3 with ActiveSync with no such warning. Are you referring to ActiveSync specifically, or something else?
