I'm sure this is a stupid question... how can I play .avi files (from Real 1) on the ipaq 1945?

The current BetaPlayer (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=27589&highlight=betaplayer) can be downloaded here (http://betaplayer.corecodec.org/).

Real1? You mean RealOne? To play RealOne files you'll need to use their video player:

I downloaded and installed the Real One Pockt PC player and tried it out on some Real One *.rm and *.rmvb files that I had of "Sex and the City" and they played the sound but the video was not visible (only black).

I have a Jornada 568 which meets (or exceeds) the minimum hardware requirements listed for the Pocket PC version.

Anyone have any ideas why it doesn't work right?

From what I've heard, the RealOne Pocket PC player is terrible. Most people seem to have tried it and given up on it shortly thereafter. :(

I had similar problems but it seems to play the audio files well.
