Does Activesyncing without power cable drain ipaq battary faster than norm?

Just wondering? On my Palm T3 even if u dont have the power cable in the hotsync cradle it changes thru usb

Mine also syncs and simultaneously charges when hooked up to my laptop via the USB cable.

It's more like a "trickle" charge than a regular one though. If my battery is very low, it takes hours to fully recharge it. But, when I'm using my USB cradle USB hooked up to my laptop via a USB port, and plugged into an electrical outlet, the charging goes exponentially faster.

I think this is probably due to the fact that the USB bus is low voltage, and provides only minimal juice, rather than being something related to the cables themselves.

Why not sync it with a 2-in-1 (Sync-and-Charge) USB cable? I'm using one and I don't even need the cradle that comes standard with it. The extra USB cable cost me $10 only.
