Error installing on SD card

How come I get a CAB error when installing on SD card for certain programs, which installs fine on the main memory? I have also noticed that some of my games open up and quickly close.

Sounds to me like one of two possible reasons.

1) The SD card is failing. Or has a bad spot in it.

2)You are running out of free space on the SD card.

Could the CAB file be bad? If you're sure it's good, you might try using SK Software's CabInstl (http://www.geocities.com/s_k_s_k_s_kru/util.html).

However, you should be aware that some programs just won't work well on memory cards.

The Mark and New York setup files were installed but it shows "loading..." then the intro music comes on and all I see are the icons popping through the loading screen and it freezes. Soft resets allows me to return to normal.
