View Full Version : Bluetooth + GPRS: Do I HAVE to have dial-up?

I just got a SE T610 phone and an HP4155. I have T-Mobile with all-you-can-eat GPRS service. I have been able to connect using IR or Bluetooth with a dial-up connection, but it seems extremely slow. I have limited dial-up hours included with my broadband DSL, and limited minutes on my phone service. I thought I could connect straight without using minutes or dial-up.

Am I missing something here?

No, no.. not at all..

Set up your PocketPC to connect to T-Mobile wireless as such:

Number to dial: *99#
UN: <leave blank>
PW: <leave blank>

That's it... you can access the internet using T-Mobile without having to use up any of your own dial-up minutes!

Excellent! That's EXACTLY what I was looking for. Thank you.

I used the search feature, but hadn't come up with those settings.

No problem at all... just for future reference, www.howardforums.com is a great reference for any cell phone / service questions you may ever have.. I visit this site a lot as well.

That's where I found the answer to getting my iPaq on the Net via a T68. ;)
