I just obtained a Moto V600 and hoped to use it as a modem with my 2215 via BT to connect to my corporate network. I have routinely dialed in using my CF modem and configured the BT modem setup the same. However, when I tell the 2215 to dial using the BT settings, the phone dials the correct number, then disconnects. Now, it may be that my data service is not enabled yet, but I thought I'd try the knowledge base here to see if there is anything obvious I can do.

Settings are:

Name - BT US (or similar, I've set up a couple of numbers)
Modem - Bluetooth Dialup Modem
Phone number - the correct number used with my CF modem
User name, password, Domain - all the same as used for my CF modem
Baud Rate - I've tried everything from 57600 to 14400
Wait fro dial tone - checked
No wait for credit card
No Diall-string commands
Cancel if not connected in 120 sec
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: hardware
No terminal boxes checked
Use specific TCP/IP address - same as with my CF modem
Use software compression
Use IP header compression
Use server-assigned addresses

Any Ideas???

Who's your provider? Some, like AT&T, only allow GPRS, not direct modem dialin.

Thanks, Janak. Since the original post I have found out that it is my carrier (ATT). Hopefully when they merge with Cingular (get bought out?) that will change.
