Editing and or creating notes

I keep a number of folders for my different projects and each folder has notes in them.
The only way that I can edit or create a note is from the handheld.
Why cant I edit or create notes from my pc?

Have you tried using "Notes" in Outlook? That's the normal way to edit them.

but now when I create a new note on my pc, how do I assign it to a specific folder

Sub-folders are not supposed with Notes. You need a 3rd party product like PhatNotes from www.phatware.com
