I recently purchased a 512mb PNY SD CARD, very cheap only cost me £100, anyways plugged it into my ipaq, put a few mp3s on it, no problem, connected it to the internet, started to dwnld to my ipaq and it was only going 28k sec, strange it dwnlds full speed onto the ipaq memory..

Is it a crap SD card or could i change somthing? ty anyway for any replies..

Are you transferring to the card while it is in your iPAQ? I've found that to be VERY slow... painfully slow... If you use a memory card reader, the performance should be dramatically better.

Ive got no pc, just the ipaq, so i dwnlded the trailer for van helsing 9.89mb onto the ipaq straight onto the mem card , it took over 30min.

If you post the URL I'll try it from my 4150.

What does the serial number look like on the card? Could it be OEMd Sandisk?

imo, it shouldn't matter that much. I would recommend formatting the card and trying again. My experience is that cards perform better if they're formatted after you buy them.

Does it make a difference on speed or reliability if you format the SD card using FAT16 or FAT32? 8O
