I was trying to find ROM update 1.10 for h1940 but its page at the official hp website is removed. Instead of this I can only find a 1.00.03 update released in April (after the release of 1.10)!

Does anyone know what has happened?

Some people noticed this in last week or so. I haven't heard anything official, but it does look like HP has indeed pulled the 1.1 upgrade. :|

Yep, I have no idea either.

I found out that HP released the 1.00.03 for all those wanting to restore their 1940s to its original ROM. But I have no clue as to why they ditched the 1.10 upgrade.

If you really wanted the 1.10 ROM, I'm sure you could find some 1940 users with it lying around on their hard disk.

I already have the 1.10 ROM but I don't know if it is wise to use it on my customers' devices...

The 1.10 update adds the MS Adaptation Kit II and fixes some known problems (in particular, the SD initialisation issue).

In short, if their devices are not experiencing any problems, then I think you can leave it in the current 1.00.03 ROM version. If they are encountering problems, I'm sure it won't do much harm updating it to 1.10, just as long as you remember to follow HP's instructions otherwise you might get a few redundant 1940s from failed flash attempts (as some users of this forum have experienced).

I haven't experienced any major problems with the 1.10 ROM version and BT Manager runs faster under the new version, so it's up to you if you choose to update your customers' devices. If all else fails, you can always download the 1.00.03 ROM and revert back to the original.
