New ROM update for HP 55XX and 19XX

Went to HP's support page today and found an update for the ROM of my 5555. It wasn't there yesterday.... I'm installing it now and will get back to you on what it does...

The ROM Update worked flawlessly for me and should for everyone else. Make sure you backup everything before updating, read and follow the instructions exactly.

No difficulties here, either. The 5555 update is a thumbs-up for me. Glad you mentioned reading the instructions, it made me look at them twice. I'd forgotten that you're supposed to remove any expansion packs.

which updates r u referring to? if u head on down to the ipaq section of this forum, there's a bunch of posts on these 'updates'...which i meticulously found out that the one available for the 1940 was merely the one that i had before i installed 1.10.

that's right...1.00.03 is now on the site instead of 1.10.
