View Full Version : Removing Null Characters

Hello,

Does anyone know of a way to remove Null characters from a large text file?

I have a database set up to view connection logs on our company firewall which extracts all the information from the log so I can view specific connection details. The problem is that the Database ignores null characters and when I produce the connection log, there are null characters every 30 lines or so. As of now, I just remove them manually in my text editor, TextPad (http://www.textpad.com/).

Is there a text editor that will find and replace null characters?

TIA

Are you sure TextPad can't do it? There might be other editors out there, but you might want to exhaust your choices with TextPad first. ;)

Thanks Janak,

I am pretty sure TextPad can not do it though admittedly, I am not a power user. I'll have another look.

Thanks again, :)
