Are "folks-in-the-know" still under an NDA on this side of the Atlantic? I haven't heard (or seen) any comments, announcements over here yet.

Someone please make an affordable clamshell... Someone please make an affordable clamshell... Someone please make an affordable clamshel...

Oh, sorry... Was I talking out loud? ;)

Maybe now we can have something in a form factor like the Sony UX50 (http://www.pdabuyersguide.com/feature/sony_UX50.htm), but hopefully with a better screen:plastic ratio (too much wasted space around the screen!), or the Sharp SL-C860 (http://www.pdabuyersguide.com/sharp_zaurus_C860.htm)...

One thing I noticed is that "new" calculator in the 2200 and 1900 1.1 ROMS is the same one in WM2003 SE. Looks like the simpler interface (with LESS features) is here to stay.

I am with you on that.

Even better a PPC phone edition with the SharpSL-c860 form factor, built in wifi and the Motorola duel pivoting screen...

Now who is dreaming :D

Hey - if I could have an efficiently-designed clamshell, 128MB mem, WiFi (or bluetooth), dual slot (I'd prefer SDIO/CF but would take 2 SDIO) I'm set. I can skip the camera, GPS, etc if it means the unit is affordable and reasonably-sized.

Once again I just have to agree - As other have noted in other threads the camera can be more trouble than it is worth (from the point of view of not being able to take you device some places) and at least for me GPS is far from an essential. What I really want is connectivity - a single device that can connect for voice and data through the phone networks and/or any handy hotspots would be just about perfect

So, when is WM2003SE going to be avaliable for the general public? Are we going to have to wait until September as suggested in that French article? Ugh. I don't think I can hold out that long.

And is it going to cost us anything?
