ROM Update

Anyone load up the new ROM from HP yet? Just downloaded it tonight. Have to go through everything and make sure I have all the info I need before flashing my 2215.

Just did for the 1940 - all OK.

Might wanna check the HARDWARE section of the forum...all sorts of goodies there (particularly info on the roms)

some people find it usefull. they say "hey all my mystic crashes gone" and some say nothing changed. if you have problems then you shouldnt think of, but if you dont have any problems like me, i dont think the current rom update is necessary because it brings nothing new

It seems a bit more stable, but I've only had it for a week. I guess the most obvious changes are more stability with Bluetooth devices, faster startup, and THANKFULLY a different default background. Spiral is still there, but that grassy default screen is replaced by something a bit less nausiating.

but the calculator looks like crap now and it lost its currency converter
