• Feature request: Wireless Protected Access

Wait.....WPA? Does the 1940 have integrated 802.11b? If not, why is it getting WPA when the 5400 and 5500 series (that do have integrated 802.11b) don't yet have WPA? :confused totally:

Or, am I totally confused? If so, please straighten things out for me. TIA!!

Corrects SD Card initialization issue.

Does any body know exactly what this issue is... I couldn't find anything about it on the forums.

I've been fairly happy with my 1945, and I'm hesitant to apply the ROM upgrade if I don't really have anything that needs to be fixed.

be very careful with this updte. only install it if you think you need it. IE if there is smething wrong with your ppc. I did it without even thinking about it as i assumed this was an upgrade to the ROM and it crashed my PPC. i now have to send it back to HP to have the ROM re-flashed.

I recommend taking the update, I just RMA'ed my unit last week and I'm sure if you ever have any problems they would recommend you apply this update before going further with tech suport. Worst case is if the unit starts acting up after you update but if you do it now (while you still have warrenty) you can probably still get them to RMA the unit. they're quite fast. it took only 3 days! =)

Has the update been pulled? The link doesn't appear to work as of Apr 9, 2004.
