Can't sync with Boxwave cable after Outlook 2003

Last week I installed Outlook 2003 and ActiveSync 3.7.1 (previously I had Outlook XP and AS 3.7).

After this I cannot sync using my Boxwave cable, it just doesn't get detected. The power light shows a connection has been made and charging is occurring. But AS doesn't spring into life.

I can sync via IR and using the desktop cradle.

Is there anything I can do to restore it to life? I am sure it is a software configuration problem...

Yup, go back to AS 3.7!!

Doesn't that mean removing all partnerships and reinstating them (again)...
