 Hi! I cannot share files between my desktop pc and my pocket pc. I am running "Windows XP Home Edition".
Things I have:
1. Microsoft Wireless Base Station 802.11b Router.

My Wifi card is reading the router connection but it cannot not share files.

OK, confusing question. You mention 56K dialup in the title and then MS router/AP in the message. Since the MS router likely isn't tied to the 56K dialup, what else is in there.

I must assume there is a PC that is doing the dialup. Normally the router is hooked to the Internet via a cable, or DSL modem. In that case the Cable Modem hooks intot the WAN port and the router hands out IP addresses to both your PC and any wireless devices. In this case, if the PC is doing the dialup, it must be set up for Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) and you must let it hand out addreses (if it is an XP machine) or set the adresses statically.

So, whip out a bit more info, and we'll all see if we can get you up and running. Type of WiFi card, PPC, etc. would be helpfull too.
