i have an Ipaq 3630 that i have been using for many years now. Well this morning my 1 and a half year old son stomped on it, and cracked the screen.

it still turns on, its just with the cracked screen the touch screen doesn’t work.

It has wireless capabilities though a CF Card. Luckily i just installed a program so i can control it thought my computer using the wireless card.

i had the idea that i could sync it with the PC every morning, and use it as a backup for my outlook contacts and notes, and small important files.

But then i got thinking i could just stick it in the closet and use it as some Mini-server or something? is there any software for that? At the time i paid 600 for it, and i don’t want to just throw it away. i suppose i could try to sell it to someone for parts, but maybe it will be more valuable for me to keep it.

Anyone else have a similar situation or any ideas on something useful I could use it for?
