Does anyone know of cards that have drivers to work with the new 4.2 OS? I have searched and no one has given an affirmative yet as to which cards work.
I have an iPaq 3970, upgraded to Windows Mobile 2003 with an expansion pack

I posted this back in December regarding a Compaq WL110 PCMCIA card, but would work with other cards that use the same chipset.
(BTW i just copy/pasted my original text because there were no comments from others in that post)

The latest and greatest drivers for WM2003 on the HP site are for PPC2002... and although they "function" with WM2003 they do not give full functionality (especially for wifi zero configuration )

So a quick googles group seach found me this link http://groups.google.com/groups?q=C....phx.gbl&rnum=2

however the link provided in the message was incorrect... however... i did find this link http://www.artem.de/dyn/epctrl/con/...pri/artem/lng/1

Its a German site however the drivers are in English. This is a true WM2003 driver for the Compaq/ORiNOCO WL-110 WiFi PC card...

After installing you get a configuration program called Agere Client that is IDENTICAL to the HP Client from the HP 2002 drivers... just not Compaq branded.

Thought someone out there might appreciate this tid-bit. I know i did.

Thank you Brad for you post and thanks as well for the reference to the German website. I once before found my way to the German website (thelinks now provided do not work). Because I couldn't understand any of the German I closed it out. If you have a good link please provide it.
I have read through Herrera's pages and they intimate that there are such drivers. However, his site is not clear as to whether the drivers in fact work with WM2003. The manufacturers have NOT responded favorably as to whether the drivers in fact exist or not.
Accordingly, I still ask, does anyone know of specific drivers that work? I will try to find my way back to that German site and ascertain if the drivers do exist.
I have already purchased a Netgear wag511 card ( I paid top dollar the first week it was out), and have learned to my chagrin that it does not work. Before I purchase add'l cards I'd like to know I can get them to work.
Thanks all

Try this site:
http://www.pocketpcmag.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3890
Its a forum regarding the link to these drivers (found by doing a Google search for "agere wl110 drivers"
or try this one:
http://www.artem.de/dyn/epctrl/con/artem000217/cat/artem000032/mod/artem002242/pri/artem/lng/1
a direct link to the download page on the German site for their drivers.
I "believe" your PCMCIA card uses orinico chipset, so it should be compatible, only one way to find out.
Hope that helps
(sorry about posting bad links, they used to work in December and since no one replyied to my first posting, i didnt bother checking the links)

Thanks for the response. Love your avatar. Yesterday's radio played a few sentences from the film culminating in Marty Feldman's line "He'll be popular with the ladies."
