Anyone using a 1GB SD Card?

Getting my first PPC this month (415x) and wanted to know if anyone has had initial success using the new 1GB SD Cards yet. I'd really like to get one, but it'd make me feel better to know someone else already has one and likes the experience.

Also, are Sandisk SD Cards problematic? I seem to see lots of people trashing Sandisk cards as incompatible and having high failure rates...

i have been using my sandisk 256mb sd card for 8 months on as many devices, aand there has been no problems with the card, ever. I can imagine that the 1gb will be the same

Same here, I have (2) 128MB and (1) 256MB Sandisk cards and also have no problems whatsoever. I use them interchangeably in my camera, IPAQ 1945 and on the desktop PC swapping files back and forth. No bad experiences here, also looking forward to the 1GB card. :mrgreen:

I've had so many sandisk cards (both sd and cf) that its difficult keeping count. Nary a problem with any of them. I am simply waiting for the price of the 1G SD to come down a little before taking the plunge.

i'm with shawn. the 1 gig card will definitely be a purchase, but i want the price to at least come down into high 200s instead of high 300s before I could swing it.

i really don't want to spend almost the same amount on a memory card as i did on the PDA.. :?

exactly. I just can't justify 380 some bucks they want (ebay). I know its a lot of storage, etc, just can't justify the money.

I'm using a 256 SD card right now in my digicam and the PDA (share the card...), once the 1 gigs will be cheaper i'll pick one up.

We need a group buy on these things... LOL

I bought one for my new 4350...been using for about 2 weeks...a 1gig sd card off ecost...about 380 bucks with shipping...a sandisk so i was worried but it works great seems to have improved over the older model's that were released!

I can't wait THAT long :D . I'd be deliriously happy at 200-250!
