So I look up mighty sync on hotbot.com (search engine), come up with http://www.devbuzz.com/pg/73884.asp and hit on "only 5.95 at pocketgear.com" and fill everything out and buy it.

then i realise that its for some reason called "manypartners", so thought maybe it was the real name of the program..

after going on the link in the help file because i couldn't get anything to work i see that manypartners is a whole different program!!

so the screwed up link on devbuzz and my lack of attention (price is the same for both products.. 5.95.. who'd think..) i am out 6 bucks with software i probably won't use..

went and bought the mighty sync after that though so its fine now, but still, felt like sharing.

:)

Don't make financial decisions when your mental faculties are impaired. Who'd have guessed? :rotfl:

You could try selling Many Partners on eBay. Probably make money on it. Folks get into a bidding frenzy and will pay more than you can get it retail. :D

Funny, I've done the same thing on Handango. Tried mightysync, liked it, went back and bought Many Partners.
Then I installed and reinstalled it 2-3 times until I realized the mistake.

Just in case, I emailed Handango and they gave me the mightysync for free. And I haven't used many partners after that, just don't need it.

Glad I'm not alone :D
