can I power up my ipaq 2215 by tapping the screen?

I recently upgraded from a hp jornada 568 to a hp ipaq 2215 and would like to power it up by tapping the screen like I did with the jornada, any suggestions?

I haven't tried it, but if you go to Start/Settings/Backlight, there are options to have the backlight turned on if the screen is tapped, etc. I wonder if that would also power on the unit???
