Overview:

The Bluetooth GPS Receiver from Belkin offers a high-performance, easy-to-use link to the global positioning system in a compact, mobile design. The Receiver shows your position in real time on street-level maps and moves with you as you travel, so you can view your current location in relation to your destination. The included software indicates your speed, direction of travel, elevation, latitude, and longitude within 10 meters. Install our navigation software on your Pocket PC, Tablet PC, or Bluetooth notebook to find your way through any city in the US or Canada, and quickly identify your current position as well as a destination or point of interest. Routes can be calculated and viewed immediately, and automated voice prompts instruct when and where to turn. Should you by chance venture "off-route," the Software issues a warning alert and the system redirects you to your destination from your current position.

The Receiver extends your operating range with a built-in, high-sensitivity mode. It acquires and continues to track satellite signals at much lower signal levels than other GPS solutions and will work in previously inaccessible environments, such as severe urban canyons, parking garages, through dense foliage, multilevel freeways and, in many cases, indoors.

Personal Experience & Comments (Worth Reading!):

I purchased one of these for myself at the same time I purchased this one. I was absolutely stunned as to how small this unit is. It is about the size of a big Matchbox Car! It has a rubberized base so it won't slip off your dashboard or anywhere else. Although not officially confirmed, it appears to be the same model as the Socket Bluetooth GPS (http://www.socketcom.com/product/GP0805-406.asp) or Fortuna's Clip-On BlueTooth GPS (http://www.fortuna.com.tw/Clip-On%20Bluetooth%20GPS.htm). The Socket GPS has won quite a few awards. This unit works in ST or XT mode which is useful if driving/hiking in dense trees or covered garages. The software for the PC and PocketPC are very similar so once you learn one you will have no problem with the other. It appears as though the software is a private-labeled version for Belkin by iGuidance (http://store.yahoo.com/inavcorp-store/iggpsnaso.html). The software alone sells for $99.00!! You can download individual maps or city radius directy to the PocketPC's RAM or Storage Card. A review and screenshots of a similiar version of the software can be found here (http://www.gpspassion.com/en/software/inav11/review.htm). The screens look pretty uch the same except for they are Belkin-branded. I've read quite a few forums that say this unit is extremely sensitive and works very well! By the way, the cabling that comes with this unit is awesome! It comes with a cigarette lighter adapter and AC plug that have a USB socket in the back. The charging cable has a plug which goes into the GPS unit and has a USB connector on the other. You can charge via USB connector, AC or cigarette lighter adapter. If you buy a sync/charging cable for your PocketPC form BoxWave (http://www.boxwave.com/) or ZipLinq (http://www.ziplinq.com/) you can then use the AC and cigarette lighter adapters to charge your PocketPC also!
