Strange, I ordered a new desktop cradle for my 41xx to use at work, and the cradle came with a USB cable, but no power cord! Is it just me or is this not strange? Part of the need for the second cradle was on and off charging throughout the day.

I cant imagine why they wouldnt bundle it with the cradle. Heck I dont even see a place to order the power supply cable.

It's "normal" these days. I had work buy me a cradle and AC adapter and they were separate items. It sucks, but that's business.

I've purchased a spare cradle for every iPAQ I've ever owned, and none of them ever came with an AC adapter.

Same here. Even my old Casio Windows CE PDA spare cradle didn't come with the power supply. I've always een this as a money maker for the manufacturer.

There are sync cables that plug directly into your USB port and charge at the same time without the need for a power supply. They just don't prop your PDA up.

There was a "power mod posted either here or at pocketPCassion.com some time ago where they gave photo step by step instructions to get your cradle to charge your iPAQ without purchasing a power supply.

Wow, this bites. I purchased a spare cradle for my Axim and it came with the power cord. I don't know how anyone can consider the cradle and power cord as separate accessories. I was planning on ordering a 2nd cradle for my 4150 so I could use at work. Not now!

I think the combination Power/Sync cables I referred to above typically cost about $20 to $25.

You can find them at CompUSA and MicroCenter.

It may be worth your while. I keep one in my laptop bag as a spare charger/sync. It's great for travel as it takes up virtually no room.
