PPC 2002 - Custom Applications

We recently have a few of our employees accessing office e-mail on PPC 2002 Phone Edition PDAs from T-Mobile. For accessing e-mail, we have to first connect to the Internet, Log on to a VPN (Certicom) by entering a password, and then connect to OneBridge (Extended Systems) for accessing the Microsoft Exchange Service. All of this takes a couple of minutes and several entries through the stylus or a foldable keyboard.

Can all of this be launched through an application so as to simply have the user click on an icon and enter one password for the VPN Application?

Any suggestions in this regard will be welcome.
