Their marketing director says: "A case should not be a burden to its users. The case users should not lack the functions they enjoy when their devices are not in their cases. Also the size is important. The cases should not add bulk."<br /><br />Second, I like the quality of Sena cases. I bought one last year for my iPAQ2215 and love it. It's durable and the leather is very nice.<br /><br />If you'd like to get your hands on one of the new 4100, 4300 or X3 cases, for a limited time you can pre-order them at a 20% discount via the <a href="http://www.senacases.com/cart/customer/home.php">Sena Cases site</a>. Expected shipping date is March 9, 2004.

Very nice indeed !
I have one for my 1945 and love it. It's extremely functional, and it fits the Ipaq like a glove; it actually never comes out of it.
With the discount, anybody in need of a nice case has no more excuse.

JonnoB,
What is your beef about Vaja? I have a SENA and it still looks great. But I can't help lusting over the sexy Vaja cases. I still have my PPCT coupon (don't know if that is still any good). Is there any reason to stay away from Vaja. Or you just want to gloat?

Thanks.

No, no problem really. For me, the Vaja has been great. It is made of very high quality workmanship and I would recommend it to anyone. The problem I have is that I cannot sync the device in my cradle while it is in the case and the SENA seems to remedy that.

Although the SENA doesn't solve this either... the one thing I wish someone would do is make a case with an opening over the CF slot so I can close the case with my WiFi card still inserted.

Heh

My only beef with Vaja is -

1st case I bought from them, 2 1/2 yrs ago - $49 +s/h :D
2nd case I bought from them 1 1/2 yrs ago - $55 +s/h :)
3rd case I bought from them 1 yr ago - $62 + s/h

Just priced a case for the 2215 I bought - $74 + s/h!!!! 8O 8O 8O

I now have $165 worth of beautiful smelling, pristine condition Vaja leather cases sitting in a drawer in my ofice. That's almost a whole PPC!! ;)

Uh, yeah, that reminds me - if anyone want a gorgeous black floater for either a T665 or an e740, let me know!! They are immaculate and conditioned with leather treatment to last forever. They always last longer than the PPC!!! Otherwise, I am contemplating doing some mods to the T665 case for my 2215. I think, with a little snip here, and a sand there, I can get the 2215 fitting snugly in it, with enough room left in the hinge at the top to leave my CF WiFi card in the device.

I have ZERO issues with the quality and fit, etc (even tho I have had to ream out a couple headphone jack cutouts on my last two cases) but considering I'm looking for a regular, black leather case - nothing personalized or I-Volutioned, and my PDA usually only sticks around for 6-12 months before it's replaced, I can't keep doing this to myself!!! And it's funny, PDA's beep getting smaller, as do the cases, but the prices are getting higher every time I get a new one!! I can't handle a 150% price increase in 2 years. Not when Sena makes almost as good of a case, that will outlast the PDA it's designed to protect, at literally, 1/2 the price. I worked with their R&D guy on adding the snap closure option to their cases (remember they only had magnetic for the first year they were in biz?), and have always been impressed with not only their quality and fit, but their service has been superb. And you can sync in the case with most of them. I'm hoping to get at least $40-50 out of the cases I have, so I can turn around and get a new Sena for my 2215.

peace out!

I received my Sena case for my iPAQ 1945 a few days ago, and I love it. I bought it after reading the nice review of cases for the 1900 series. Nice work.

I just received a new Sena case for my Axim X5 on Saturday. It's a new black/blue one w/ belt clip that I purchased on eBay for $15 including priority mail shipping. Although I've only had it for a couple days, I'm already happy with the purchase (especially for only $15). I had previously been using a Cover-Up from www.thepocketsolution.com because I didn't care for the extra bulk of a leather case (like the X5 alone isn't big enough). However it is handy to have the slots for storing business and SD cards in the Sena case and the PPC is definitely better protected, but I could do without the belt clip.

Yeah that review is what helped me decide on the Sena case too.

A question for anyone who has a Sena case for their h19XX:

How difficult is it to take the pocket pc out of the case? Is it a major problem, or can you just push it out from the bottom?

Just curious... Thanks! :D

Got my Vaja i-volution case for my HP2210 yesterday and I have to say it is the best case I've ever had for any device. It is sleek, fits like a glove and unlike some people claim it actually is much smaller than the Proporta metal hardcase I used before it. Only downside is that you can't sync through it, which isn't a big problem for me since I almost exclusively use bluetooth syncing....and of course: it was very expensive. I can recommend it to anyone. If I remember correctly you get some sort of discount on it if you are a PPC thoughts subscriber. :)

I've got the 2215 case, not the 19XX, but it is still easy to remove the Pocket PC from the case. I seldom need to, though; I've probably only had the case off twice in the past month.

If you're a PPC Thoughts subscriber and select the sena discount coupon can you use that in conjunction with the pre-order special?

My h4350 is looking for a new home and the sena case is looking mighty appealing :)

btw, I'm about to signup for the subscription and that's why I was wondering about the combined discount :)

No, I'm afraid not, because the pre-order Sena cases are already discounted by about 20%...our coupon is only valid on regularly priced items. Sorry. :?

Thanks for the prompt reply. Now that I look at the case a little closer, it looks like it has a plastic cover over the keypad of the 4350. I'm not sure if I'm going to like that. Anyone have any thoughts on that?

I think the bellagio would be a better choice. I'll have to think about the plastic cover seriously

Sena's cases are supposed to start shipping today (the 9th). Has anybody received any shipping notifications? I'm just curious, as I can't wait to get my 4155 case! :)

Got mine notice today too, but ordered mine on the 7th of Feb. I'm still happy. Looks like they are meeting their ship date and have sufficient stock to get to most, if not all, of the pre-orders.

Well, I received my case, and I have to say that it's awesome!

I posted a mini review on the iPaq forums: http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=25586
