Has anybody tried DataLens from http://www.cs.umd.edu/hcil/datelens/ ? There's a free desktop version, and a PocketPC version which isn't so free. The desktop version is really sort of a demo of what the PocketPC version is like. Looks very cool - very easy to use, and less overhead than other calendar programs (I think, haven't installed it yet).

I use it, and I like it! Take a look at this thread, (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=17933&start=0) and this one too! I checked those threads after I'd downloaded the software. The new version seems a little improved. I really like the zoom feature!! The desktop version is fine, but I wish the window were bigger, rather than PocketPC sized.

I never used the desktop version, so I'm not sure about that! Maybe it's time for me to give it a try!

Turns out that the desktop version can be changed simply by dragging the outlines. It's a normal window, with the default settings set to what appears to be 240 x 320. In other words, you can use it to get used to the PocketPC version. Other than crashing occasionally when loading the app, and loading quite slowly on my Athlon XP 2400+, it works very well. Looks like a keeper.

Just wanted to mention that even though the site doesn't mention any updates, the dates of the downloads are newer than previous - 1/16/2004, for the desktop version, and 1/25/2004 for the handheld version.
