Does anybody know what is available in the Handheld arena?
I'm talking about the jornada 720,728 type of handheld, with the clamshell form, running windows CE.
I would like to know what the newest and best models there are, if any.

I have always wanted one of these, but I think they've become nearly extinct.

Newest and best one IMO is the Japan only Sigmarion3, it has a 400MHz Xscale pxa255 cpu and runs winCE 4.2
The OS can be flashed to English language and the screen is insane(5.1 inch WVGA, 800by480) becouse of the coreOS and XSCale cpu a lot of PPC programs work on it by simply adjusting a few values.

Ok. I'm likely going to be getting a J720 very soon. I have been doing some reading around other forums, and it seems that the j720 has static ROM and cannot be flashed. I have read that their was a project ( I believe HP was involved with) where someone was developing ROM chips with a Linux OS on them.

I have a couple of questions for all of you:

Does anyone know of a possibility of getting CE.NET 4.xx on a J720 ROM?

What are the premiere sites for info on HPC's?

I will likely be picking this thing up for a very good price, and I was planning on getting the 64MB upgrade from PPC Techs. Does anyone know if their are any other upgrade options?
