Ok, I have been without a PPC for a while. I am considering a few right now, these would be the ipaq 5455, 4***, 1945, and the asus a620. I have seen the price drop significantly of all of these devises, and they all seem very nice. I would like something w/ WiFi, but it isnt mandatory. I want a devise arround $300. I will be using this in college (Beefy desktop and a PPC), so I would like something SMALL but powerfull enough to do SNES/NES emulators for fun. I would perfer CF (Cheaper/Faster), but SD/MMC is nice because of the small size. So basically, a small, powerfull, and perhaps WiFi. What would you choose if you were in my situation.

Based on the information you have given here, I recommend the Dell Axim X3i (though not one of your choices) for several reasons:

1. Its about $300

2. It has built in Wi-Fi

3. The speed is fast; 300 Mhz (I have the iPaq 1935, which has the slowest processor you can find in a Windows Mobile Pocket PC these days, and NES emulators run very quickly on it, however, some games [fast-action; RPG's] are choppy. Unlike the 300 Mhz of the Axim, which should be very capable of playing these.) This should be plenty for all applications.

6. It has a CF and SD slot (please check specs to be sure).

5. Its small, and has a D-pad.

I have not tested the Axim X3i, but you could probably add another post and get feedback from other users on PocketPCThoughts.com.

The X3i is 400 Mh, there is a 300mh version of the X3 but it doesn't have wifi.

The Axim X3i only has an SD slot, no CF. If you want something with Wi-Fi and CF that is powerful, you might look at the Toshiba e755. It has built in wi-fi, dual slots, 400MHz PXA255 processor, and it will cost about $350.

The PDAs you listed, the 5455 is going to be at least $450. The 4150 is $380, and the 4350 is $440.

The Asus however (w/out BT) will be less than $300. So if you don't mind not having a removeable battery (though the Asus battery supposedly has a good life) and wi-fi, that is a good bet. The A620 is benchmarked as the fastest PPC on the market.
