I am faced with a dillemma lately. I own an ipaq 3835, enjoy it very much, I do not have a problem with the processing speed or storage space, it is plenty fast for what i need to do. However, it does me no good in its current state, which is, broken, and out of warranty. It will cost about $100 to get it repaired, from what i am quoted. I have a cf expansion sleeve and a cf modem, with it, and would like to add wireless network support. I am trying to decide if it would price conscious to upgrade to a newer model, or just get mine repaired and buy a cf wifi card. I have a pretty good selection of apps that i am worried i would lose if i upgrade to a unit with another processor type. My basic thoughts are this....It would cost me approximately $160 to get my unit repaired and acquire a cf wifi card. If I did this i would have all that i need, cf, sd and wireless technology. Otherwise what are my options to get all 3 technologies in this price range. I would not care to spend much over $200 unless there is some really good reason I am missing why i should

Thanks in advance...

I would suggest you get your iPaq repaired. For a new device with wireless, a CF slot, and SD, you'd have to pay at least $450. If you're pleased with the 3835, then keep it.

By the way, any applications that run on the 206 Mhz StrongArm CPU (the 3835) should run on other modern Pocket PCs.
