I was just thinkin about D.O.A.

It should be used as a Pocket PC term, rather than a traffic accident description.

Ex. You order a new e805 Pocket PC to be shipped UPS. The truck driver is wierd and he drops it like five times. He also opens it to play because he feels that his old Palm IIIc is just too slow  When you get it, its dead. D.O.A.

Anything can be Dead On Arrival. Memory - PCs, etc. etc.

Fruitcakes can't be considered DOA, I believe - the things last several lifetimes.

My dad is a truck driver. The last time I checked, he doesn't play with the things he delivers  DOA is used pretty widely I think.
