This is the metal case I went for! Only problem is, the site says their shipment was due yesterday.

What's the deal here? If you go to Inno Pocket's site, the case (http://www.innopocket.com/EShop/Main/product.php?ID=34&name=iPaq) is listed at $29.9 (US). And yes, I checked. It's the same part number.

Not only that, but the description on Inno Pocket's site lists it asAnodized Aluminum scratch resistant not the "Titanium" listing on the MobilePlanet page.

Of course, maybe I just have too much time on my hands :| [/url]

This is definitely a Titanium case, so the fact that the part numbers are the same shouldn't be a factor here - one is aluminum, one is titanium. Big difference. ;-)

I have the aluminum one for my 5450. It does not have SD card storage or removable belt clip and post system. I may have to give the titanium 2210 version a try. My aluminum Rhinoskin case gave its life saving my 2210 (after the removable post fell out!).

and once again, MobilePlanet sells a product it doesn't have in-stock, is unable to ship, and is unable to provide an accurate ETA.

eBay doesn't allow its sellers to post sales in advance of receipt of inventory, there needs to be some minimal commercial standards for retailers with vapor-inventory, like MP.

I had my visa card out ready to buy, but then checked about postage to the UK - What ! I have to use a mail forwarding company in the US at about $170 8O to set-up (inc annual charge) and then a huge amount to acutally post the goods on.

Or the other option - the French "European" site, for which my school-boy French isn't good enough, there's no translation... off to bablefish it doesn't work with there.

Shame really. Oh well - will have to find something to burn my cash on a little closer to home.

Comon MobilePlanet - take the cash, charge a little extra postage - wait for the cash to clear the bank and then send the goods - can't be that hard ! :( :(

Am open to being PM'd if you still want my cash.

Yeah, Mobile Planet is a US-only site. The good news is that there are talks underway with a Canadian reseller who DOES ship world-wide. I'll keep everyone posted if it comes through.

I ordered mine on Friday. They stated that shipping would be (iirc) $7USD, making the total (before duties, etc) $77USD.

The site has stated for a while now that the expected availablity date is 2/13/04. At least the date isn't jumping all over the place anymore.
