I have an iPaq 1945 and am wondering what is there about the 2200 that is so fundamentally different from other iPaqs that it is cheaper to produce the case for it? I can't see what the difference would be that I should have to pay $30 more for one - which is worse still when you consider that the savings represents nearly a third of the purchase price. Madness.

Granted, I could see the logic if it was at least outside the same product line; i.e. not an iPaq - those people deserve what they get :razzing:

What's the word on this rebate/deal for other TiPro models, like the one for the iPAQ 4300 and 4100?

I have a 4350, which is sorely lacking in case options. I'd be all over this Ti case, but the $99 price is a little steep. If this offer/rebate were available for the 4300 model, I'd purchase in a heartbeat.

I heard vague comments from others who noticed the price drop to $69.99 once they ordered.

Since PPCT is an affiliate, is there any way we can get some "official" word on this discount/rebate for other models?

Thanks,

JoshB

It's probably just a marketing incentive on certain models, vs. the "real" price of the other models. It's unfortunate, yes, but pretty normal in the sales world...

According to the MobilePlanet site (click here (http://www.mobileplanet.com/private/pocketpcthoughts/default.asp?) and do a search on Titanium), the 1900, 4100 and 4300 cases are all $99.95 and the Axim X5, iPaq 2200 and 5000/3000 series cases are $69.95.

I want a $69.95 case for my 4350!

I'm thinking in the near future, Jason will post on the fact that they have a 5550 titanium case out, also at $70. He's covered at least most of the models so far. ;)

At the full price of $100, the price of my Vaja I-volution case doesn't seem that far off. I had one of the aluminum one's but I didn't like the way it opened like a book and the feeling of cold medal in my pocket. The I-volution case feels 10 times more comfortable in the pocket, plus it opens from the top.

...I know, I can't drive a car over the top of this case and expect it to survive. That's ok; I don't expect a case to do that myself. The usually isn't the type of damage a PDA suffers anyway, it is usually from a drop. I trust that my leather case does a better job with shock absorbency than my medal one did.
