View Full Version : Pocket Inbox pass through?

While briefly using an old Tungsten T before I got the Toshiba last week, I was using Versamail to fetch my email upon Hotsync. This app had the option of directly connecting to the POP3 servers during Hotsync and getting my email rather then having to fireup Outlook and then sync with that. Is that possible with Pocket Inbox or some other mail app? In other words when I sync the Toshiba via Activesync is there a way to fetch my email directly without the need for Outlook (or OE)? Thanks

Add a POP3 or IMAP service to Inbox, and upon ActiveSyncing it should fire up and pull email automatically through ActiveSync's passthrough connection.

I have tried to get POP3 mail to work through the Passthrough option, but since my desktop computer accesses the Internet through an authentication proxy I somehow can't get it to work. It works fine with PIE, but not with Inbox. Does someone have a solution to this or is it simply Inbox that doesn't support authentication ?
