This is pretty cool, and an interesting alternative to bluetooth:

cool idea, no cool name though... Bluetooth atleast makes me think of some poor sap with discolored molars...

I guess I'll stick with BT for now, until something better/cheaper/easier comes along.

The range on this was a bit dissappointing... less than 1 meter.

I think in one article about this (maybe on geek.com) a while back, they talked about the benefit of the range. The reasoning behind having a very small radius is security. There is a very tight radius that someone would have tobe in to access your PDA/cell phone/conversations. This technology simply lets you keep the phone in your pocket and headset on your ear.

yea, my range complaint isn't an issue when you're out and about with your PPCPE or BT Phone, but it is when I'm at home and wandering around my home office. Its nice to leave the I-Mate on the desk, wander around with earpiece in (only when I'm expecting a call.. i'm not that big a geek to leave it in 24/7) and be able to answer without returning to the desk.

Helps especially when I'm trapped in a landslide in my office of papers and debris and need someone to come dig me out!
