May be I am to new with PPC...

How can I change the extension of a file, or even view it in the file explorer listings.
I'm using Windows Mobile 2003.
On file explorer, file extensions are not displayed and I can't change them.

I can only see a file extension, if trying to run a file which doesn't have a program associated. The error dialog box shows the filename with extension.

Thanks

Fernando

I don't believe you can do it with the built-in File Explorer. I use Resco Explorer (http://www.resco-net.com/explorer.asp)and it's great (but costs). I believe there are some free ones, but I don't know any names.

There is also Advanced Explorer from AlphaBeta software.

Not sure why you would want to change file extensions.... Yes Resco file explorer allows you to do this.

However, have you tried copying the file onto your desktop. Renaming it there and copying it back? ;)
