Off the top of my head I don't think so... but i'm not 100% sure. Either way, MS reader is a free program that you can always download and which you'll probably have to anyway as only the newest activated version lets you download current DRM'ed ebooks.

The iPAQ h194x (http://www.shopping.hp.com/cgi-bin/hpdirect/shopping/scripts/product_detail/product_detail_view.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0545214769.1072506097@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccekadckfhgimkhcfngcfkmdflldfjl.0&product_code=900970&tab=detailed_specs&browse_link=true&#defaultAnchorhp) comes with Pocket PC Professional installed.

Pocket PC Professional does not include the following software in ROM:
- Jawbreaker (originally Oopdreams Bubblets)
- Microsoft Reader
- Solitaire
- Transcriber
- Windows Media Player

They are all included on the Companion CD that comes with the PPC and can be installed onto RAM if you want them.

As tanalasta said you will need the latest MS Reader (http://www.microsoft.com/reader/default.asp) if you intend you read the newer DRM'ed .lit formatted ebooks.

Oh ok, thank you.

If you installed all of them I'd venture to say about 3MB in all, maybe less.

The new version of MS Reader takes up about 2200KB of RAM on your device, regarless of which device you have.

(So if you bought a PPC with Reader in ROM, you'd still burn about 2200 KB of RAM on the update.)

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

I just recieved my iPAQ 1940 and played around with it and found it amazing. One thing I noticed is that it included :
- Jawbreaker (originally Oopdreams Bubblets)
- Microsoft Reader
- Solitaire
- Transcriber
- Windows Media Player

So whats the difference between Prof. and Premium ?

Yep... just check myself... and those apps are all preloaded... the only one that was not on there was Microsoft Reader... It might be on the companion disk.. I never opened it.

Oh yeah sorry. Microsoft Reader was not installed and is not available on the companion CD. You have to download it from microsoft.com.
