...but I'd like to buy that Hawkings Technologies USB Bluetooth Adapter.

If I have my PC two floors above me, and have this puppy in it, will I be able to use the internet/activesync on my PPC?

My main concern is that I'm a bloody idiot, and if setting up this kind of network is difficult I'd like to know. I'm not going to venture into this if it is far too complicated for me.

I'm looking for something I can just plug in, click a button, and use, rather than spend a few hours daily configuring.

You may run into a problem with the range. Most BT dongles have approx. 10 meter range, that is without obstructions. I have an AmbiCom BT dongle and I do not get more than 1 floor coverage.
Good Luck :)

One floor, eh?

Well then screw it. Thanks for telling me.

Yeah... bluetooth does have rather limited range. Wi-fi's may be a little better... Have you thought about moving your PC down a floor? ;)

I don't think there is anyway BT will work under two floors. It's typical range is only 10 meters. I would not bother with BT and go 802.11 instead.
