I have an Ipaq 2215 and am in the market for a CF wi-fi card.

1. Should I wait for 802.11g cards?

2. If not, which is the best current card to buy? Is the Socket card the best?

Thanks for your help.

I don't think that Pocket PCs will even work with 802.11g WiFi cards.
Soooo - you might be waiting a very long time.

802.11b uses a 16 bit bus (same as PocketPCs)
802.11g uses a 32 bit bus

Sorry!

Zippper is on target; just to be more precise, the CF slots and CPUs in most Pocket PCs won't benefit from the additional bandwidth that 802.11g can provide, so even if they were to release a 16-bit 802.11g card, you wouldn't get much benefit.

As to which to get, the Socket is quite good, but there have been issues with the Socket CF card's driver and the 2215 causing "freezing" issues. You might want to read the boards, both here, on Socket's site, and elsewhere, to see if that issue has been resolved or not.
