Not Meaning to Thread-Crap, But Here is Another Alternative:

If you don't need to input data while using your PPC but wait to be able to carry a detailed listing of your DVDs, I highly recommend the use of DVDProfiler for your computer. I have used this product and it is great, just enter your UPC off your box and it automatically downloads all info from the internet.

After using the program to input all my DVDs, I simply exported the listing and details and imported them into HanDbase. One of the users has also developed a PPC optimized web page view in XML that can take the exported data for use on the go. If you register (free) with the developer the program can create a web page (hosted by the developer) listing all your DVDs. I use this on my 2 Audrey touchscreens at home to review my collection.

The above program looks great, but seems a bit pricy for a PPC-only program. DVDProfiler is free and is not just linked to my PPC. Here is the link if you want to try it out:

www.dvdprofiler.com

Having said all of that, I too would be interested in seeing Rippers program.

I could post it but you would need to have VisualCE to run it. I also never put in the option to have an image... I thought about.

But I am intrigued by this other program... I may have to take a close look at it. Though there does not seem to be any screen shots of it on a PPC.

Edited:
Thanks again for the site... I looked at it but the exported data is limited. It seems like a great tool for the PC though. And it looks like a PPC version is coming. I'll look forward to it. My current collection is over 600 movies so you can imagine I am not quite ready to do all that work unless the returns are high.

Thanks. Looks handy (but as an aside, the bright colours really remind me of Win3.1 )

Am I correct that you must input the DVD info for each entry? That would take me a while. :)

That's why I like DVDProfiler (http://www.dvdprofiler.com) so much. I wish they'd come out with a PPC version. That would be killer for me.

Yeah it does take a while if you have a large collection like me (289), but it is for PPC.

Ok PocketPC Fox... have another look... I created a new form for my collection... if you return to the same post you will see my new creation. I think that most of the people here are capable of creating a simple DBase form and making something similar to mine.

And you think you have alot to enter.. I am currently at 621... but I think I am going to see if I can import some of the information over.
