I did see a review of these somewhere, but can't remember. You could probably do a Google search and dig it up pretty quickly, as well as any others opinions.

If I recall correctly, they actually liked them. I'd love to know if anyone is using them with the new XDA/MDA 2.

Update: Had a little time to kill...so I found a review:

Actually, after reading the review myself...it seems that the device is simply a bluetooth phone headset (not stereo headphones) combined with an MP3 player. I'm not sure if it's what you (or I) are looking for.

The 30 minute talk time is what clues me in to thinking that it's only a headset, and doesn't provide bluetooth stereo.

Anyone else have any clarification on this one? There doesn't seem to be a lot of info out there on this thing.

i recall reading somewhere that bluetooth transfer rates aren't high enough for cd-quality audio listening.

and when i think about the sound quality on my headset, i doubt i'd be able to hear anything without interference.

Yes. Bluetooth doesn't have enough bandwidth to handle uncompressed (PCM) 44KHz, 16bit, stereo datastreams -- that needs 176kBps or 1408kbps, which is greater than the approximate 700kbps you get with BT 1.1.

Solutions would be to stream MP3 to headsets (i.e., 128kbps or similar) and have the headsets use audio decoders (I think that's what the OpenBrain solution does)... or wait for BT 1.2, which apparently boosts the bandwidth significantly.

That's weird, because I was just at the bluetooth website and it said that you can listen to music wirelessly. Hmph.

I knew BT was going to suck. they should have made the standard capeable of higher data speed.
